Let's publish! The Graduate Centre and the University Library are jointly organising the first Publishing Week from 7 to 11 July 2025. We cordially invite young researchers from Augsburg to our bilingual programme of coffee lectures, talks with publishers, practical workshops and open exchange formats on campus or online via Zoom!

What is the first thing people find out about you when searching the internet? How can you ensure that all your publications, conference abstracts, and academic achievements are easy to find and correctly attributed to you??In this workshop we will discuss how to get credit for all your scientific publications and increase the visibility of your research. We will create or optimise your author profiles, including your ORCID and your records on e.g., Web of Science, Scopus, or Google Scholar.

For early career researchers peer review processes often seem opaque and difficult to navigate. In this short workshop we will examine the key success factors for peer review publications. We will discuss how to find the right journal for your paper, how to frame the introduction and the abstract, and how to sharpen the central argument of your text.??

Working competently with reviews is a key success factor for publishing in international peer-reviewed journals. In this workshop we will look at some of the key steps to take. We will discuss how to read reviews, how to develop a plan for revision and how to write a response letter. We will also consider how best to reply to difficult questions and critical comments.?

Let's publish! Time Management for Cumulative Dissertations
This short workshop will focus on developing a schedule for cumulative dissertations. We will discuss how long it takes from the initial idea to the publication of an article, how to use peer review time productively and how to make the dissertation time as a whole more predictable and plannable. Participants will also have the opportunity to draft their own schedule.

Wie nehme ich Kontakt auf, wie kann ich konkrete Angebote einordnen? Wie treffe ich am Ende die Auswahl? In diesem Workshop widmen wir uns Ihren dr?ngenden Frage rund um das Finden und W?hlen des passenden Verlags für Ihr Buchprojekt. Wir besprechen, welche Schritte zu gehen sind, und diskutieren an konkreten Beispielen m?gliche Fragen und Fallstricke der Finanzierung (Druckkostenzuschuss), Zeitplanung und individuellen Entscheidungsfindung.
