Art on Campus
Why is there art on Campus?
The works on campus, like almost all public art, have been created for a specific location. They relate to the local conditions, such as the surrounding architecture or the course of the landscape. By seeing the built environment as well as the landscape structure in relation to the artwork, you mark a place in the public space and create new spatial relationships. The place changes through the presence of the art, resulting in a redefinition of the spatial conditions.
